Student Design Fellows
Our Student Design Fellows co-design our digital Community Center, tailoring it to Gen Z needs. They bring fresh ideas for features, room layouts, and AI tools, lead user testing, and help refine visual appeal and functionality. Gain hands-on experience in tech development, social media, product management, and UX/UI design, while shaping a platform that empowers students like you.

"I applied to be an Uprooted Academy Fellow shortly after I finished the college application process. As a first generation college student, I had to be extremely independent during this process. I often found myself not knowing where to turn or where to look for information. The information from Google searches would either be too vague or outdated. When I heard about Uprooted Academy’s commitment to making a centralized digital platform that caters specifically to the college application process I was thrilled. Uprooted is exactly what I would have needed during the college application process. Social Media Ambassadors
Our Social Media Ambassadors, collaborate with our marketing team to create content and spot trends across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and LinkedIn. These students gain hands-on experience in social media strategy, content creation, and audience engagement, allowing you to make a real impact and develop essential digital marketing skills.
Dedicated Interns and Volunteers
Our University of Washington, UC Berkeley, and UCLA interns play a key role in developing the Uprooted Academy Community Center and advancing our college and career readiness projects. They collaborate with our team on innovative initiatives, contribute fresh ideas, and help shape programs that empower high school students across the country. Through their involvement, they gain hands-on experience in project development, community engagement, and leadership—making a real impact while building skills for future success.
