Amber Cannady

External Partnership Coordinator

As a first generation student and student-athlete that has worked in higher education for the last ten years, I am passionate about providing further access to other BIPOC or low income students.

I received my Bachelors in Psychology from the University of New Haven while pursuing championship titles with the Women’s Volleyball team. After college I began coaching at my alma mater, played professional volleyball, and then returned to coaching as a Recruiting Coordinator at Columbia and Seattle University. Looking to expand my impact, I moved into Athletic Development and Alumni Relations at New York University.

Through all of that, I’ve garnered a clear understanding of the admissions process at highly selective universities, the inner workings of higher education and the support that students need to have a successful experience during some of the most formative years of their lives. I look forward to fostering collaboration with external partners, building strong relationships and delivering effective programs to the groups that need it most.

I am a proud Auntie and Titi, traveling around the country and world to spend time with family. I currently live in Brooklyn, NY with my husband Mark.

Ashlee Eason

Brand Development Coordinator

Ashlee thrives from meeting new people and networking with a purpose. Her unconventional journey led her to create,  “Thee Amateur Expert Brand” - a lifestyle brand that inspires others by sharing her experiences and insights from the people around her. Through her podcast, she hopes to give guidance to those who lost their way in love, education, or the traumas of life and empower them to forge their own path like she did. Most recently, she opened her online store, Affirmed Armor and Accessories, where she sells merchandise that reminds you of a truth you've forgotten about yourself.

Antonia Estrada

College Readiness Program Coordinator

As the first person in my family to attend college, I am passionate about helping first-generation, low-income students get to and through college. I obtained my College Counseling Certificate from UCLA Extension to develop my professional competencies in the field of higher education. In addition, I successfully advised first-generation and/or low-income students through my previous work as a College Counselor at Uprooted Academy and as a volunteer at ScholarMatch and The Posse Foundation.

I previously worked in finance, management consulting and strategic development in the U.S. and Spain. I hold an undergraduate degree cum laude in Economics from Harvard College and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

I am excited to leverage my managerial, organizational and communication skills to help FGLI students in their journey towards academic, personal, and professional success.

I am an avid traveler and have visited over 40 countries on six continents, in addition to having lived in Spain for over 25 years. I have three adult children and currently live in New York City with my husband.
